FIRST BATCH OF LOAN BENEFICIARIES WHO HAVE NOT STARTED TO REPAY THEIR LOANS

The Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB), hereby notifies all loan beneficiaries who are not servicing their loans and whose names appear herein that they have breached a contract as per the HESLB Act. No. 9 of 2004 (as amended) Section 19 (1).
These Loan Defaulters are further notified that according to HESLB Act No. 9 0f 2004 the Board, intends to take the following steps: -
(i) Shall be liable to legal action as per Section 19 (a) (1) of the HESLB Act.
(ii) Shall be subjected to additional monthly Penalty of 5% p.a. on the outstanding loans, over and above the 5% that was levied earlier.
(iii) Shall have his/her outstanding loan loaded with the cost of tracing that will be charged after being traced by the Board.
(iv) Shall be blacklisted and his/her information shall be submitted to the Credit Reference Bureaux, following which they shall be barred from access to credit facilities from all Financial Institutions.
(v) Shall be barred from securing Government scholarships or admission for Postgraduate studies in any Higher Learning Institution within and outside the country.
(vi) Their details shall be submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Immigration and all Embassies where they will be denied approval for travelling abroad.
All Loan Beneficiaries whose names have been published in the newspapers and on this website of the Board through http://olas.heslb.go.tz are required to repay their due loans immediately to avoid facing the above listed measures.  Loans statements and other details of their due loans can be accessed by visiting HESLB Offices or writing to:

OFISI ZA BODI YA MIKOPO KUWA WAZI JUMAMOSI NA JUMAPILI

Bodi ya Mikopo inapenda kuwataarifu wadaiwa wote waliopo Dar es Salaam kuwa Ofisi za Bodi zitakuwa wazi kwa siku mbili za kesho, Jumamosi, Julai 30, 2016 na Jumapili, Julai 31, 2016 kuanzia saa 3:00 asubuhi hadi saa 9:00 mchana ili kutoa huduma mbalimbali ikiwemo kuwasiliza wadaiwa.
Hii ni fursa muhimu kwa wadaiwa wote wa mikopo ya elimu ya juu ambao hawajaanza kulipa mikopo kupata taarifa kuhusu madeni yao.
Bodi ya Mikopo inatarajia kuanza kuwachukulia hatua za kisheria wadaiwa wote ambao hawataanza kulipa madeni yao mara moja. Hatua hizo ni pamoja na:
i. Kufikishwa mahakamani;
ii. Kutozwa faini;
iii. Kunyimwa fursa za kupata mikopo;
iv. Kunyimwa fursa za masomo nje ya nchi; na
v. Kuzuiwa kusafiri nje ya nchi.

Nyote mnakaribishwa ili kutumia fursa hii muhimu.

Mr. Amani Naburi aibuka kwenye top 10 ya washindi wa Essay ya Many Languages, One World” 2016

English language winners - Global Youth Forum on “Many Languages, One World” 2016
10 winners of the English language multilingual essay contest organized by the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), Department of Public Information (DPI), and ELS Educational Services Inc. met at UN Headquarters. They presented their essays on the role of multilingualism in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The winners are:

TAARIFA KWA UMMA KUHUSU SABABU ZA KUTOKUCHAGULIWA KWA BAADHI YA WALIOOMBA KUDAHILIWA KATIKA KOZI ZA CHETI NA DIPLOMA KWA MWAKA WA MASOMO 2016/2017



TAARIFA KWA UMMA:

Baraza linapenda kuwaarifu wote walioomba kudahiliwa katika kozi za cheti na diploma na umma kwa ujumla kuwa kuna baadhi ya waombaji ambao hawakuchaguliwa kwenye uteuzi wa kwanza ambao ulitolewa tarehe 22 Julai 2016.  

Mwombaji ambae hakuchaguliwa hupaswa kuangalia kwenye kurasa yake binafsi (profile) ili kupata sababu za kutokuchaguliwa. Sababu za kutokuchaguliwa zinaweza zikawa kama ifuatavyo:
1. Sifa za muombaji kuwa pungufu kulinganisha na sifa za chini za kozi;
2. Nafasi za mafunzo katika chuo na kozi husika kujaa kutokana na ushindani wa waombaji wenye sifa za juu zaidi.
3. Kutokamilisha ujazaji wa maombi kwenye mfumo;
4. Kutoambatanisha vyeti vya masomo kwa baadhi ya waombaji; na
Waombaji wanashauriwa kusoma kwa makini sababu hizo na kufuata ushauri unaotolewa ili kuweza kuchaguliwa katika uteuzi unaofuata.

Baraza linaomba ifahamike kuwa vyuo na kozi zilizojaa hazitaonekana tena wakati wa maombi bali kozi zitakazoonekana ni zile zenye nafasi tu. Orodha ya kozi zilizojaa zimeainishwa hapa
.

Baraza pia linapenda kuwaarifu waombaji waliofanya maombi kwenye vyuo vya Ualimu vya Serikali kuwa uteuzi kwenye vyuo hivyo unasubiri mwongozo wa Serikali na hivyo watafahamishwa punde uteuzi utakapokamilika. Waombaji wa vyuo hivi wanashauriwa kusubiri na kutokubadili machaguo yao hadi kutangazwa kwa uteuzi kwa vyuo vya Ualimu vya Serikali.

Aidha Baraza linapenda kuwafahamisha waombaji wa Shahada ya Kwanza waliofanya maombi kupitia mfumo wa pamoja wa udahili wa Baraza kuwa utaratibu wa kukamilisha maombi yao utatolewa baada ya mashauriano kati ya Baraza na Tume ya Vyuo Vikuu yatakapokamilika.

Winners of Multilingual Essay Contest to Meet at United Nations General Assembly in July 2016

2015 Many Languages, One World Winners at United Nations Headquarters
United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and ELS Educational Services, Inc., are pleased to announce that 60 students have been selected as winners of the 2016 Many Languages, One World®international essay contest. This is the third year ELS Educational Services Inc. and UNAI have partnered to organize Many Languages, One World®.
The winners have been invited to attend the Many Languages, One World Global Youth Forum atHofstra University in Hempstead, New York. The event includes an all-expense-paid trip to New York City and the opportunity to speak at the General Assembly of the United Nations. Students will present action plans related to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The Many Languages, One World contest challenged college and university students around the globe to write an essay examining global citizenship, cultural understanding and the role that multilingualism can play in fostering both. Entrants submitted essays in one of the six official United Nations languages, which could be neither the student’s first language nor his/her primary language of instruction. More than 9,000 individuals from 165 countries took part in the initial phase of the contest. The official languages of the United Nations are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.
The 60 winners were selected from a pool of over 3,600 entrants. United Nations Academic Impact and ELS would like to congratulate the 60 winners of the Many Languages, One World® 2016 essay contest.
