UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS TENABLE IN THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA FOR 2016 ACADEMIC YEAR.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Dar es Salaam presents its compliments to the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international Cooperation of the United Republic of
Tanzania and has the honor to inform the later that the National institute for
International Education (NIIED) under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of
Korea will invite two (2) nationals of the United Republic of Tanzania for the “2016
Global Korea Scholarship: Korean Government Scholarship Program for International
Students for an Undergraduate Degree” (hereafter called “2016 Undergraduate GKS”)
to be conducted in Korea for the academic year 2016 – 2021.


To this end, the Embassy plans to recommend three (3) qualified candidates to the
NIIED which will make a final choice of the three. After confirmed by NIIED, the
successful candidates are expected to arrive in Korea in February 2016.
The application Guideline is enclosed herewith, including qualifications required
documents/forms for submission and all other necessary information. Further
information about the 2016 Undergraduate GKS is available at the websites
www.studyinkorea.go.kr or www.gks.go.kr


Applicants should submit all required documents/forms to the Embassy not later than
Friday, 16th October 2015 and interviews will be held at the Embassy in due course
with a limited number of applicants who have met the application deadline and passed
through the documentation review. It is kindly noted that those who fail to meet one
of the qualification set forth in the Applications Guideline (for example, those who are
born before 1 st March 1991 or who has already obtained a bachelor’s degree or higher
degree) will be automatically disqualified.


In this regard, it would be highly appreciated if the Ministry of Education and
Vocational Training of the United Republic of Tanzania could kindly disseminate the
aforementioned matter to the relevant institutions so that qualified people of the
United Republic of Tanzania may apply for the 2016 Undergraduate GKS in time.
