Japan Youth Exchange Programme

International Youth Development Exchange Program 2014

There is a youth exchange program organized by the Cabinet Office of Japan.

Tanzania has been chosen as the participating country this year together with the Dominican Republic, the Republic of Estonia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the State of Qatar.

The program is taking place from 23rd September to 8th October 2014 in Japan.

There will be 8 people chosen from Tanzania consisting of a leader and 7 youth participants. Youth participants should be at the age of 18 to 30 years old ( be born after April 2, 1983 to April 1, 1996) as of April 1, 2014.

Please read the guideline for more detail and for those who are interested, please submit all the necessary documents (Application Form, Essay and Questionnaire for Food Restrictions and Allergy) and send them to the Embassy of Japan, Culture Section by Monday 9th June 2014
Applications can be submitted either by post or by hand.

   Courtesy call to Ambassador


3. Saturday 23rd August, 17:15 – 20:00:
   Participating Japanese Summer Festival


4. Friday 29th August, 11:00 – 16:30:
   To do a presentation on Tanzania and Preparation for next week’s presentation (at Embassy of Japan)


5. Friday 5th September, 11:00 – 16:30:
   To do a presentation on Japan and Preparation for next week’s presentation (at Embassy of Japan)


6. Friday 12th September, 11:00 – 12:00:
   To do a presentation on the local cities to visit (Ishikawa and Toyama) (at Embassy of Japan)


7. Friday 19th September:
   Farewell Lunch


8. Friday 19th September, 19:30 – 22:00:
   Japanese Film Showing during Asian Film Festival (at Quality Centre)
