The Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences is officially
announce the application for Academic year 2014-2015. Deadline for
submitting application form has been extended to 30th June 2014.
Admission Forms and Entrance Requirements for Undergraduate Programmes, Diploma programme, Postgraduate programme:
MODE OF APPLICATION FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
Applicants with the appropriate “A” Levels passes (Direct Entrants)
and Diploma Holders (Equivalent qualification)
seeking admission at CUHAS into the Bachelor of Medical Lab Sciences
(Code CU001), Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education (Code CU002),
the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Code CU003), Doctor of Medicine (Code CU004)
and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (CU005)
are required to apply through the CENTRAL ADMISSION SYSTEM with the
Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU)
using the guidelines provided by TCU as detailed in pages 35,36,37

UNDERGRADUATE COURSES:
- DOCTOR OF MEDICINE (MD) – 5 YEARS
- BACHELOR OF MEDICAL LAB SCIENCE BMLS) – 3 YEARS
- BACHELOR OF PHARMACY (B.PHARM) -
- BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING EDUCATION
- BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING
Holders of Principal pass at “C” grade or higher in Chemistry, Biology or Physics, provided that the other two passes are not below “D” at ADVANCED level. Preference will be given to applicants with "C" grade or higher in Chemistry or Biology in that order.Consideration will also be given to applicants with Principal passes at C grade on higher in Chemistry and a ‘D’ grade or higher in Biology or Physics. [C, D (5 points from 2 subjects)]
Holders of B. Sc. Degrees from recognized institutions, majoring in BIOLOGY or CHEMISTRY. Holders of a Diploma in Clinical Medicine with principal passes at any level in Chemistry, Biology or Physics, in the ADVANCED certificate examinations.
Holders of two Principal passes at 'D' grade or higher in Chemistry, Biology or Physics/Mathematics; [D,D(minimum 4 points from Two subjects)]
Principal pass at C grade or higher in Chemistry, Biology or Physics/ Mathematics; [C,D(minimum 5 points from Two subjects)] .
Holders of B.Sc. Degrees, from recognized institutions majoring in BIOLOGY or CHEMISTRY
OR
A Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized and accredited Institution with passes at a minimum of “B” grade in the Diploma.
Holder of form-six certificate with TWO Advanced level passes at 'D' grade or Higher in Chemistry, Biology/Physics; [D,D(minimum 4 points from Two subjects)]
Holder of Diploma in Nursing as Recognised by NACTE.
Holder of Advanced Diploma in Nursing Education as Recognised by NACTE.
Holder of form-six certificate with TWO Advanced level passes at 'D' grade or Higher in Chemistry, Biology/Physics; [D,D(minimum 4 points from Two subjects)].
Holder of Diploma in Nursing as Recognised by NACTE
MODE OF APPLICATION FOR APPLICANTS FOR THE DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
Applicants should visit CUHAS website, download and fill in the application form and submit their applications directly to the College. . Please attach copies of your Form 4 (‘O’ Level), Form 6 (‘A’ Level), Birth Certificate and 2 passport size photographs with a non-refundable application fee of Tshs. 30,000/- by postal order or paid through the University Bank Account No. 01J1054045500 with CRDB.Minimum General Entry Requirements (DMLS, DDR, DPS)
A holder of form VI certificate (“A” Level) with one principal and two subsidiaries in the sciences subject of Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics OR A holder of form IV certificate (‘O’ Level) of secondary school Education or its Equivalent with three credit in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics
Equivalent Qualification Requirement:
Laboratory Assistant/ Pharmaceutical Assistant/Radiographic Assistant from recognized institution with at least two year of clinical laboratory experience/ pharmacy practice/radiographic experience, provided the applicant has two passes in science subjects in ordinary level secondary education.
MODE OF APPLICATION FOR POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
- MASTERS OF MEDICINE (MMED) - 3 Years
- MASTERS IN PUBLIC HEALTH (One Year)
The following Master of Medicine (MMED) are offered in the following
clinical disciplines: Paediatrics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecoloy and Anaesthesia.
