PRESS RELEASE
STOP ORDER AND NOTICE FOR CLOSURE
This release serves to inform the
Public that the Council (NACTE) by powers vested to it under Section
5(1)(a) of the Act (Cap 129) has directed the following:
1. Closure
of St. David College of Health located in Kimara - Suka, Dar-es-salaam
after finding it operating without registration and accreditation of the
Council and offering “unrecognized” programmes in Health related
fields; and
2. Cease
operations of Tanzania International University (TIU) of Kimara
Stop-Over related to Certificate and Diploma programs since the TIU had
no such permit from Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
Both institutions have been given 14 days to stop operating and show cause.
