AFREN Tanzania Limited in collaboration with the University of Dar es Salaam is  pleased to announce its inaugural scholarships scheme to sponsor 5 Undergraduate  students and 2 Postgraduate students for the academic year 2014/2015.
AFREN is  an  oil  and  gas  company  specialising  in  oil  and  gas  exploration  and  production.  It is a dynamic, entrepreneurial organisation with a portfolio of world­ class  assets  located  in  several  of  the  world’s  most  prolific  and  fast­emerging  hydrocarbon basins in Africa.
 As part of its corporate social responsibility, AFREN has  decided to partner with the University of Dar es Salaam in offering scholarships to  students who in normal circumstances would not be able to cover the costs for their  university education however, these students have to be accepted at the University of  Dar es Salaam.

AFREN invites applications for its scholarship scheme from students wishing to pursue the following degree programmes at the University of Dar es Salaam in the 2014/2015  academic year;

                          1. BSc. Petroleum Engineering
                          2. BSc. Petroleum Geology
                          3. BSc. Petroleum Chemistry
                          4. Masters in Business Administration (MBA)

Students with outstanding academic results are invited to send a letter of application 
indicating their programme of preference together with a CV and copies of their 
academic results and the names of two referees to;

Deadline for receiving applications is 15th August 2014for postgraduate students and  30th  September  2014 for  undergraduate  students.  Late  applications  shall  not  be 
considered after these dates.
