HESLB Gets New Board of Directors

The Minister for Education and Vocational Training Hon. Dr. Shukuru Kawambwa has launched a new Board of Directors of the Higher Education Students’ Loans Board to take office for the next three years.


The event took place at HESLB Head Office in Dar es Salaam on 19th September 2014 and was attended by HESLB members of the Management and members of the Press.

The 15-member Board of Directors is being headed by the Chairman; Prof. Anselm B. Lwoga who has been re-appointed by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania after serving the first four years from 3rd November, 2009 to November 2013.

Vice Chairman of the Board is the Managing Director of CRDB Bank Dr. Charles S. Kimei and the Secretary is Mr. George R. W. Nyatega, the Executive Director of HESLB by virtue of his position. Other members represent various constituencies that work with HESLB from both Public and Private Institutions.

The new HESLB Board of Directors tenure of office will cease after tree years in 2017.
